Definition:

The United States Department of Homeland Security, commonly known as "Homeland Security" or DHS, is a Cabinet department of the U.S. federal government.

The role of Homeland Security is to protect the territory and borders of the U.S. from terrorist attacks. It also provides public services such as natural disaster assistance. The three "immigration agencies" (ICE, CBP and USCIS) are part of the Department of Homeland Security.
