That's Two, Mr. President

Friday June 12, 2009
President Obama Postpones Immigration Reform Meeting Again If you were miffed the first time Obama rescheduled his immigration reform meeting with Congressional leaders, you're not going to like this news: The meeting, which was originally scheduled for June 8th then moved to June 17th, has been postponed for a second time this month. This time, however, the rescheduled date has not been set. "The meeting will happen soon and a new date is being set," an official said, according to The Hill.

What do you think these leaders should focus on when they finally come together to talk about immigration reform? Share your ideas and read others' responses on what we should change about the U.S. immigration system.

This so called Reform is vever gonna happen..TRUST ME !!

If these guys with an unbelieveble democratic majority in Congress can’t get it done now, how can they get it done after the 2010 midterm elections???

There will be NO amnesty and there will be no reform for the hundredes of thousands of law abiding immigrants who are patiently waiting in line legally

For lack of a better word, government policy on immigration is SADISTIC to say the least. Its being run by a bunch of MASOCHISTIC guys at the healm including their leader

Believe me when I say the current government is gonna WRECK the hell out of AMREICA by the time its done with it by 2012.

That much is certain

California is going broke and so are the other states. What that means is that amnesty will never occur. The money is all gone.

Immigration reform MUST take place NOW. No more waiting, excuses, and other nonsense.
This is a test to the humanity of our country. We are treating millions of hard-working immigrants worse than animals!
This is simply WRONG!
Congress must act NOW! Don’t let the racists derail immigration reform once again!!!

In all honesty now the United States citizens are having some of the worst times since the great depression. I was recently laid off and for the first time in my life I am having problems finding a job. Even with my technical experience working at NASA and in Oil exploration it is very difficult. The only thing I can do is take a 30-50% pay cut just to maybe get by. It is only fair that economic and other issues should come before any immigration issues. If something dose not change soon this country could become a place no better than anywhere else in the world. Many of our ancestors paid with there lives to make this country the great land of opportunity that it has been. Just consider yourselves lucky to be here and be patient if you entered the country legally.

(9) Illegal is Illegal says:

Doesn’t anyone understand, we are talking about “illegal immigrants”. The laws state that when found to be here “illegally” they must be deported back to their country of origin. We don’t need “immigration reform”. We need a “Congress and House of Representatives and a President” to read up on the U.S. Constitutional Laws on “Illegal Immigration” and then start “enforcing” those lawa. The math is simple, send them all home and our “unemployment rate” will practically disappear, and so will alot of other headaches that are “hounding legal citizens”. Do you know what the problem really is? Obama and his cronies on Capitol Hill allowed “illegal latino’s” to vote for him. Now they want the favor returned by asking for “immigration reform, amnesty, more guest worker visas, anything that will allow these “illegal aliens” to stay in our country and use up “resources” meant for Americans and “legal immigrants”. How come nobody is fighting for the “legal immigrants” that have been here for 5,10,and even more years, waiting for their “citizenship” papers? Welfare, hospitals, unemployment, banks, utilities, real estate, credit companies, auto makers, all these resources are taking a huge “hit” because “illegals” and “special interest and lobbyist groups and organizations” are pressuring the President and his cronies for “some form of immigration reform”. This “trespassing” issue must be put to rest once and for all. We didn’t “trespass illegally” into their country. They trespassed illegally into ours. Go home, stay home, seal the borders and lets get back to America, land of the free and home of the brave. America forever, usanot4sale.com

I think that the native americans may have a thing or 2 to say about the fact that you call it “your country” to start with…..all americans were immigrants at one point so get over yourself and be more facilitating to people who are trying to make a better life for themselves!!!They are only doing what your ancestors did!

Mag,
Your idiot argument about Europeans invading this country 500 years ago is silly at best. There were no borders or country at that time. It was a land mass. Majority of Americans are not immigrants. We were born here unlike the Mexicans who say the border crossed them. Time to put that argument to rest. You can say what you want but the facts are that overwhelming majority of Europeans have made this country great. Yes we have had levels of immigration of the years that benefited the US but todays immigrant is here to take what they can and give nothing back. They all claim to pay tax’s but we know that minimum wage workers do not and have never stimulated the economy. Hispanics are a burden on this society. Many have less then a 9th grade education. Just 20 years ago you could not get a job at McDonalds without a HS Diploma. Now days, they hire people who can’t even read or write in their own language. God Help America. Liberals Suck!
