Wordless Wednesday: Stop the Hate

Wednesday October 29, 2008
NCLR launches website to address the surge of hate and violence in the immigration debate

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy group in the U.S., has launched a new website, We Can Stop the Hate. The purpose of the site is to address the increasing number of "hate groups, nativists and vigilantes that have taken over the lexicon of public debate."

The site documents the groups involved in the anti-immigrant debate; uncovers what the NCLR says are "code words" that these groups use to support their beliefs; shows the role of the mainstream media in supporting anti-immigrant groups and speech; and reports on hate crimes and other types of abuse.

NCLR points out that the most recent FBI Hate Crime Statistics report shows a 25% increase in anti-Hispanic hate crimes from 2004 to 2006. According to NCLR, this increase is proportional to the rise of hate speech against immigrants and those perceived to be immigrants.

You know, I grew up in a minority-majority city, and so I never thought much about hate crime. Then I moved to the southeastern U.S. Wow. Racism everywhere. Many eastern states are just now grappling with the immigration issues my home state has dealt with for decades, and it’s not pretty.

What’s especially frustrating is that many people who don’t want immigrants in their communities DO want cheap produce, inexpensive homes and other goodies that depend on…immigrant labor. You can’t have it both ways.

Good for La Raza – especially considering that their staffers are often the particular targets of hate crimes.

Nancy bellows about racism but has failed to give any example. Betcha she defines racism in the common use method where racism is when you disagree with a liberal.
The truth is that most people support immigration and oppose illegal invasion.
Of course, Nancy would never distinquish between “immigrant” and “illegal alien.”
And she even supports the racist group – National Council of the Race!!!!

FACT: In the last 22 years, over 26 million illegals, have been apprehended, after crossing the border, into our United States.

THE PROBLEM IS: Less than 1, out of 4 illegals, are estimated to have been apprehended.

Mind boggling, isn’t it.

According to the U.S. Immigration Service another 6 million illegals in this country are visa overstays. That is, they got a visa legally in their home country, they came here to visit and then they never left.

In the last 22 years, there have been another 4 million anchor babies born to illegals. Anchor babies are now being born at a rate of 350-400 thousand per year in our United States. All at our expense!!

Then the ANCHOR BABIES qualify for welfare, food stamps, section-8 housing, all at our expense.

American Taxpayers are getting screwed, over, and over, and over, again!!!

Each illegal immigrant, on average, costs taxpayers $9,000 PER YEAR, over, and above, anything they might contribute in taxes!!!

Dear Legislators,

Mandate, AND STRICTLY ENFORCE, E-Verify for ALL employers, for ALL employees, and for ANY benefit, and the I.C.E. raids, as well as all of the expemsive new detention facilities, would not be needed.

The illegals would have to begin leaving of their own accord.

Think of the economic effect of giving the 8.7 million jobs, that the illegals have illegally obtained, using forged, or stolen documents, back to Americans.

Think of the economic effect of 65 billion more dollars being spent in our United States, rather than being remitted to Mexico, and South America.

Think of the money saved by decreasing I.C.E.’s effort.

Think of it, and then let’s do it!!!

BOYCOTT ANY BUSINESS THAT HIRES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!

AND LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT!!!

DURING HARD TIMES, WE CAN HAVE AN IMPACT!!!

When is the NCLR going to release this list of “code words” that the alleged anti-immigrants use? Maybe they mean words like “enforce the law” or “mandate E-Verify” or “deport illegal aliens.” I think the NCLR
is being disingenuous when they use the term
anti-immigrant. I think they mean anti-illegal alien.
