Wordless Wednesday: Immigrants Responsible for Global Warming

At least that's what the Center for Immigration Studies would have you believe. According to a study published by the CIS, "Immigration to the United States significantly increases world-wide CO2 emissions because it transfers population from lower-polluting parts of the world to the United States, which is a higher-polluting country."
Does that mean that immigrants are responsible for the melting sea ice that has made the North Pole an island and threatened the polar bear?
To some, the CIS study is good science; to others, it's anti-immigrant propaganda. Where do you stand?

This is anti-immigrant propaganda. They are saying that immigrants are causing a problem because when they get to the US, they start acting like Americans, so Americans should blame immigrants for acting like Americans.
I agree with the other comment. I also believe though that when they (scientist) or whoever can’t find a reason for something, they then find something thing or someone to put the blaim on. immigrants=their scapgoat
Forget pollution. Forget global warming. It doesn’t matter to the ecology where pollution comes from. No, the immigrants are not personally responsible for global warming.
But—–if they are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who came across the U.S. borders ILLEGALLY and therefore are CRIMINALS. They need to be sent back to their own countries and FIX THEIR OWN COUNTRIES TO BE LIKE THE ONE THEY WNAT THEM TO BE.
The immigration issues in America are entirely out of controll. First of all immigrants Are increasing the amount ofpolution created in teh U.S. that much is plain science. That is not to say that americans are not doing their fair share. Illegal immigrants (From any country) should not be allowed in. They should be prosecuted as criminals and retuned ath their country’s expence. The flame of Societal degredation is faned by the idea that this behavior is acceptable. I understand that a larger portion of illegals and legal immigrants are just trying to better their situation. The problem is that the huge influx of prople simply is not supported buy the economy. Do it the right way or get out! I ahve seen many people who have paid taxes here for many many years lose their jobs to lesser skilled immigrants at a lower wage. This is apploing. If you have the skill them you deserve the job. America is on the verge of being nothing more than a bloated overly simpathetic shell, of what was formerly a great country.
