Barack Obama on immigration

Immigration issues continue to take a back seat to more pressing concerns like the country's economic and energy worries. This won't last for long, however. Over the next couple of weeks, running mates will be chosen and the parties' national conventions will be taking place. Once that's out of the way, I expect immigration to become a hot topic once again.

To help you through this election, I'm putting together an overview of each of the candidates' positions on immigration. Today we'll start with Barack Obama's immigration policies and plans. Obama will be announcing his running mate very soon, so watch for an overview of his VP's position on immigration within the next couple of days.
